Cookie policy
What we store in your browser, why, and how to turn the optional parts on or off.
This document is provided in good faith and is not legal advice.
Effective date: 7 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Juste Tools LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (“Juste Tools”, “Clavio”, “we”, “us”), uses cookies and similar browser storage on this website. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, the data controlleris Juste Tools LTD. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
1. What cookies and similar storage are
“Cookies” are small files a site stores in your browser. We use the term broadly here to also cover related technologies such as localStorage — a first-party, same-origin store the site can read and write. Some of this storage is strictly necessary to make the site work; the rest is optional and runs only with your consent.
2. Essential storage (always on)
These are required for the website to function, so they do not require consent under the applicable rules. They do not track you across sites and carry no analytics:
- Session & sign-in — when you sign in with Apple or Google, we keep a first-party session so you stay signed in and can reach your account. Without it, authentication cannot work.
- Language preference — a small cl_lang cookie remembers whether you chose English or Russian, so the site renders in your language on your next visit.
- Your cookie choice — we store your consent decision itself (in localStorage, under clavio.cookie-consent.v1) so we can honour it and not ask again on every page. Remembering your choice is itself strictly necessary.
3. Optional analytics (off until you opt in)
With your consent, we use Mixpanel to understand, in aggregate, how visitors move through the site — for example which pages and features get used — so we can improve it. This is the only optional category, and it is off by default: no Mixpanel code loads, and nothing is written to your browser for it, unless and until you turn on Analytics in our cookie banner.
How we keep it privacy-friendly when it is on:
- Storage: Mixpanel uses localStorage in your browser to hold an anonymous identifier and event state — not third-party advertising cookies.
- EU-hosted:events are sent to Mixpanel's EU endpoint (api-eu.mixpanel.com), so the data is processed in the EU.
- No personal data:we send no name, email, or other directly identifying information, and Mixpanel's automatic IP-based geolocation is switched off, so we do not store your IP address. After you sign in, the only identifier we attach is the opaque backend user id.
- No advertising: we do not use this data for advertising and we do not sell it.
4. Legal basis
We rely on different legal bases for the two categories. Essential storage is used on the basis of our legitimate interestin providing a working, secure website (and, being strictly necessary, it is exempt from the consent requirement under UK PECR and the EU ePrivacy rules). Optional analytics is used only on the basis of your consent, which you give by turning on the Analytics category — and which you can withdraw at any time.
5. Changing or withdrawing your consent
You are in control. When you first visit, our banner lets you Accept all or Reject all with equal ease, or open Manage to choose categories individually. To change your mind later — including to withdraw a consent you previously gave — reopen the preferences at any time:
— or use the Manage cookies link in the site footer.
Withdrawing consent stops further analytics tracking and clears the related Mixpanel storage. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though essential cookies are needed for parts of the site (such as signing in) to work.
6. Retention
Essential cookies last only as long as needed for their purpose — session cookies are cleared when you sign out or your session expires; the language and consent records persist until you change or clear them. Analytics storage set by Mixpanel persists in your browser per Mixpanel's defaults while consent is active and is cleared when you withdraw consent or clear your browser storage. We retain the aggregate analytics in our Mixpanel project only as long as needed for product analysis.
7. Who we share data with
The only third party involved in optional analytics is Mixpanel, which processes the analytics events described above on our behalf as a processor, on its EU infrastructure. Our full list of sub-processors is in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example if we add or remove a tool. When the optional categories change, we will ask for your consent again. We will revise the effective date above when we make changes.
